How to verify authenticity?

If you suspect that you have received a counterfeit SKF product, the SKF Authenticate App can help you verify its authenticity. 

Simply download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play and submit photos of the product, along with proof of purchase.

SKF will investigate and provide a verification report within one working day. For cases involving more than 100 SKF-branded products, a trained SKF Inspection Engineer will perform a physical inspection.

Brand Protection Stock Audits 

To further assist with brand protection, SKF’s Brand Protection team in South Africa offers an audit service for MRO spares, including bearings and power transmission products. 

The audit comprises authentication of stock using the SKF Authenticate app, identification of premium vs. second-tier brands, as well as feedback on overall stock and store management.

To support their customers and prevent questionable SKF branded products from entering their plants, SKF is currently waiving the costs of this audit.

With the help of the SKF Authenticate App and SKF’s brand protection services, customers can now protect themselves from the risks associated with counterfeit products.
